A very special welcome to our new student Christian Lang in Room 2. Welcome to Waitohu School.
WAITOHU WHĀNAUNGATANGA EVENING
I loved it. The music, smiles, kai, free fun activities for tamariki, sunshine, amazing artistic cake boxes and yummy baking, face painting and many many helping hands before, during and after. You could see, hear, smell and taste the whānaungatanga in all corners of our school - it was magic.
Ngā mihi nui to our Home and School Association for organising this evening, to Kelly & Co Realty and FunZone for sponsoring the free fun activities for tamariki, to our Year 5&6 students for their cool activities, to Andrew & Kirstin London for the awesome music, to Keren Maybury and Cafe Waitohu bakers for gifting the sweet tastes and to all the helping hands prior to and on the evening. We had 96 wonderfully decorated cake boxes with yummy cakes and sweets inside. Ngā mihi to all the students for treating us with their artistic creativity and to whānau for the cakes and sweets. Seeing our Waitohu whānau of students, teachers, parents, grandparents, cousins, friends …. all creating and enjoying Waitohu whānaungatanga was magic. Ngā mihi nui koutou.

KĀPITI ISLAND - NGĀ MIHI NUI HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
Yesterday, on a glorious Ōtaki - Kāpiti day 75 students, teachers and parents visited Kāpiti Island. This was made possible through the generosity of our Home and School Association and Watsons Gardens funding this trip. Ngā mihi nui for making this amazing opportunity possible.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON JUNIOR TOUCH RUGBY
The Junior Touch Module on Thursday afternoon at Ōtaki Domain continues today, Thursday 27 March. Please look out for Sheralee Mildenhall who will direct you to the correct field.
LOST PROPERTY On top of the many items of clothing, there are a large number of togs (20 pairs) towels (at least 20) and goggles(10 pairs) in lost property, which have been left over the last few weeks (some are from the Waikanae Pool Trip!) Please make an effort to come and have a look in the lost property cupboard. If they are not claimed by the end of term, they will be donated to charity.
